Forecast to vendors - Is Sch.Agreement the only
Hi,We are investigating different options for communicating forecast to vendors. We get a two year forecast for finished products and are using MRP to breakdown the forecast from the top level of the BOM to the lowest level, generating Schedule lines or PRs for raw materials. For the schedule lines,SAP provides standard message types (communication) and we can easily communicate them to vendor. However, for the purchase requisitions,SAP doesnot provide a communication method.Does that mean we need to have scheduling agreements for all materials?even though there will be normal purchase materials (PR->PO)Regards,Zeeshan.

Hi Zeeshan:Purchase Requisition is only internal purchase document! And you must convert it to PO to send the vendor! You can manually maintain multi-schedule-items in the "Delivery Schedule" view of PO to realize the delivery schedule. But it's not forecast!Scheduling Agreement is the best option for sending forecast to vendors.Because you can use MRP-running to create all forecast items automatically in the relevant one SA,it's very simple and efficient.查看原帖
