On July 1st,2004,Guangzhou won the bid to host the 16th Asian Games.The city has pledged to make the games a distinctive and memorable sports event.In order to make the Guangzhou 2010 Asian Games a distinctive and memorable sports event,the Guangzhou Asian Games Organizing Committee has,over the years,launched a series of world-wide campaigns to gather designs and ideas,culminating in the creation of the Official Emblem,Vision,Slogan and Mascots.On March 10th,2007,"Thrilling Games,Harmonious Asia" was unveiled as the vision of 16th Asian Games.On April,28,2008,the Official Mascots of the 16th Asian Games were unveiled.The Mascots,five cute and sporty goats,collectively known as Le Yangyang,have gone on to become enormously popular with the public.
