The most important factors contribute to progress you make in English learning
Ten years ago,when China gain membership of WTO,the number of people learning English surged .China has entered into English-learning era.But in fact numerous of people are forced to learn English because of pressure of study,not enjoying it.
The fact that people usually discard English-learning after getting through college English tests and always ignore oral English learning urges us to think deeply about the question:Is it really necessary to continue to learn English?
My answer is yes.
As I see it,English is the crucial key to blend into modern century.Though China is constantly enhancing her discursive power,English still has dominant position.About 70 countries ,America、England、Canada included,regard English as their official language,and this number is increasing.So Learning English well has positive impact when you are applying for a job in multinational enterprise.You have to learn to communicate with friends and teachers in English when studying abroad.Aside from the above concerning work and study pressure,learning English well can be a precursor to know more about the world behind my wall.Nowadays,we gain information through TVs、broadcasts、nets and books.The publications whose language is English are so many that we even can not calculate exactly.So does TVs and nets.By learning English well,we can expand our horizon.Thus it can be seen that we should continue to learn English.
Albert Einstein summarized that success formula that he relied on is X+Y+Z=A.In my opinion,the success formula of learning English is X+Y=A.X means diligence,Y means wide horizon.The two contribute to the success.
Diligence ranks first.” If you miss one day of practice,you notice the difference.” The saying goes among musicians.”If you miss two days of practice,the critics notice difference.If you miss three days of practice,the audience notice difference.” So does English.You should keep knowing new words、new phrases、new grammas in order to keep up with the trend.The ways to achieve that are taking more time on exercise and read texts.
But apparently being buried in texts or coach books is not enough.If we never look the outside world,our English will stagnate forever.Time and tide wait for no one.So we need wide horizon.Everything in modern world changes with each passing day,including languages.In the international communication,English as the common-used language is changing and perfected.It urges us to learn constantly.In the eyes of me,reading more magazines、newspapers and watching English films is a quite effective method to keep up with the trend of the times.The interesting outside world can not only eliminate the young”s resistance due to press of study,but practice your spoken English to pursue fluent oral English.For example,we can get American slang words and fresh expressions from a TV play named Growing Pains.In the meantime,the different life we have seen open up our eyes.It is a win-win.
The ridiculous phenomenon now is English learning passes for a formidable task.So trying to find right ways to learn English will make you get double the result by doing half of work.And the most important way is,enjoying it.
