First,let me introduce our judges.------------- Welcome and thanks to our judges!Ok,now let us introduce the process and rules of the contest.
It is made up of three parts.
The first part is the prepared speech.The titles are given before the contest,each speaker will give a speech lasting about three and a half minutes without referring to notes.One of the titles is Talent Shows in My Eyes and the other is A Day Spent with A.A could be anything or anyone;
the second part is the impromptu speech.Each contestant will choose randomly out of a bunch of topics 5 minutes before going onto the stage.After giving the prepared speech,the contestant should present the chosen topic to the us and we will announce it to you.The time limit for this part is 2 minutes.
the last part is the question-and-answer session.One judge,that is,one foreign teacher,will put one question to the contestant.The question can relate to the speaker’s either speech,prepared or impromptu.
We will anounce the scores of all contestants before the awarding ceremony,so as to make the contest more transparent.
Now ladies and gentlemen,that’s all about the rules.Let’s thank the judges once again and give our applause to the first contestant,….The title of her/his speech is….Contestant no.2 get ready please.
